TA Invitational 2003 |
After a week of torrential rain and cool temperatures, tracksters were just glad to get out in the sun. |
Many athletes showed the lack of outdoor practice, especially the technical events. The duo of Lauren Diggs and Bobby Eaves of Stuarts Draft ran almost unopposed through the Valley field winning a total of 4 events. Latoya Baker had a big day in the jumps, as did Jeremy Withers in his return to competition after a long winter of rehab. Spotswood throwers had a big meet winning 3 of 4 events. TA and Harrisonburg Boys established bragging rights in many events as did Harrisonburg girls field events and hurdles. TA, Spotswood, Harrisonburg and Stuarts Draft lay claim to early braggin rights in the district team race. |
The Turner Ashby Invitational The Weather Channel said "Abundant Sunshine". Latoya said "Let's Jump!" Valley Track athletes soak up the sun in Bridgewater. TA Results-Special thanks to Anthony Slater for processing results. |
