Girls Results for Valley District Performers Boys Results for Valley District Performers

In the throwing events Valley District throwers finished near the top in fields of over 50 throwers from 25 schools.

Fort Defiance's Claire Thomason placed 2nd in the Shot put with a throw of 35'11" and 6th in the discus at 108'10"

Spotswood's Jennifer Showker placed 2nd in the Discus with a throw of 119'2" Erin Hisey placed 8th with a throw of 106' 7".

Evan Kays of Stuarts Draft placed 3rd in the 1600-4:23.6 and 3rd in the 800-1:58.5 to lead the boys from the valley.

Todd Mitchem of Spotswood placed 8th in the 200meters-23.24

The Spotswood 4x100 team of Farren Shifflett to Kesari Bundy to Todd Mitchem to Matt Lam placed 6th with a time of 44.16.

Brandon of Fort Defiance placed 7th in the pole vault -12' 6"and high jump 6th-Shreckhise-5'10"

The strong field proved too much for the valley's sprint leader. SHS's 4x100 was barely beat at the line to finish in sixth position with a time of 44.16 seconds.
