Fort Defiance 4x800 Relay teams have a big day with regional qualifiers for both boys and girls. Fort's Girl's 4x800 Meter Relay came in 4th place with a time of 10:08.89. The Boys 4x800 placed 6th with a time of 8:23.9 Blazer throwers continued to improve in a strong field of throwers in Charlottesville. SHS 4x800 Relay team put up a time of 10:14.9, good enough for seventh place. Spotswood's Nathan Turner won the Boys shot by 2 inches while teammate David Tlxcala barely missed the magic 50ft mark by two inches placing 6th. Amber Showalter hit a PR in the shot with a throw of 34'10 inches. Broadway made claim on the Valley's Top Vaulting corp. with FOUR vaulters in the top 9 at the meet. Chad Harpine (4th) and Phillip Hoover (5th) had great days with teammate Aaron Dove finishing tied for 9th with Spotswood's Eric Slowinski. Broadways's Elizabeth Reeves placed 4th in the girls Vault.
