Thank you and congratulations to new SVTC Vice President David Law! Treasurer's Report. M. Guinn reported a balance of $4,728.72, unchanged from September. Club Shirts. M. Guinn's son Jeff Guinn is now part owner of MarkIt, so in September it was decided to get a price quote from MarkIt. Rich Ruozzi said that MarkIt charges $9 per shirt and Prairie Garden charges $6.50 per shirt. Prairie Garden cannot use the same screen for adult and youth shirts. So we will use the smallest adult size. R. Ruozzi will email a design to us. M. Guinn said that MarkIt charges $12 or $13 for singlets, which wick, and an additional $8 to $10 to add print. M. Guinn will ask about matching shorts. These prices compare to the lowest R. Ruozzi reported in September of a standard tee for $5.50 per shirt for 72 shirts, and $4.75 per shirt for 75 children's shirts, and $30 per singlet. SVTC Constitution and Bylaws. Apparently neither a constitution nor were written when the SVTC was founded. As agreed in September, J. Rudmin drafted a proposed constitution and a proposed bylaws, posted them to the club website www.valleytrack.org, and brought copies to the meeting. No action was taken on them. Turkey Run. The Turkey Run will be November 20 beginning with the traditional children's run at 2 p.m. R. Ruozzi said that he wants to defer accepting T. Hughes' offer to sponsor a race to the 10 Miler on May 19, 2012. R. Ruozzi reserved with the Bridgewater Town Council, use of Community Park and the city streets, but has not notified the town police. He has contacted the Bridgewater College Tennis and Fencing teams to ask for help, but has received no reply. JMU will be on Thanksgiving break. R. Ruozzi said that we will need at least 4 people on the racecourse. D. Law and M. Guinn volunteered to be two of them. R. Ruozzi will bring 2 or 3 cases of bottled water. M. Guinn will get bananas and bagels. D. Law or R. Ruozzi will pick up the 16 frozen turkeys. Indoor Track Meets. J. Rudmin provided R. Ruozzi with the JMU calendar, and will put R. Ruozzi in contact with the JMU running club, to coordinate dates for the indoor track meet. Summer Picnic. R. Ruozzi would like to have a family-oriented summer picnic between summer track meets. He likes the facilities at At Home on the Farm, where the Pumpkin Run 5K was recently held. Club Publicity. Ms. Lauren Jefferson wrote a special insert article for the North Fork Journal on R. Ruozzi's competition in California. Tax Exempt Status. R. Ruozzi says that the RRCA says that the SVTC still is tax exempt. But, we must still file a tax form with the Commonwealth of Virginia seal of incorporation as nonprofit. RRCA membership expires December 30. Secretary A. McCracken will submit the renewal form. Meeting adjourned. Respectfully submitted, Joseph D. Rudmin
