The 34th City County Meet yields meet record after meet record and a nail biter finish for the boys. On the Boys Side, as the darkness overcomes TA Stadium in Bridgewater, the remaining faithful were treated to a pole vault dual by Bev Good Nominees Tim Beierle and Michael Miller as they both broke the meet record held by J.B. Rosson (now coaching at Spotswood). Harrisonburg's Beierle clears the bar on his final attempt to edge Miller of Broadway and score the go ahead points to edge Turner Ashby. Miller cleared 14 feet setting the stage for Beierle to clear 14'3" with a new meet record and a come from behind championship for the Blue Streaks. New Meet Records are set by Alex Oway and Beierle of Harrisonburg, Bret Olinger of Broadway, Chrissy Rhoades of TA, and Mandy Kaufman of Harrisonburg. On the Girls side, Spotswood Jessy Moubray wins 4 events to lead the Blazers to the team championship. Hopkins, Slater also win individual titles to go with relay titles.
